Newest Girl

A friend had asked if I could recover one of her chairs and have it ready in time before Christmas Eve, she was having her family over for Christmas...

I said yes, thinking 'I still have a little under a week', hmm...evidently I work better under pressure.

Anywho, my friend, who is an awesome photographer might I add, had already started to recover her a while back and had asked me a few months ago if I could finish it out. We finally finished up the conversation last week. So when I went to pick it up, this is where she had gotten:

We decided to change it up. I had some black paint and she had different fabric... So I took all the fabric and staples out of her to start new, and took her out back for a fresh coat of paint...

I knew all of those old InStyle's would come in handy...

I scared the four year old when she came out, thought I should show what I looked like when I did...

While I was waiting on the paint to dry, another friend called about some name tags for her girl's scooters. I busted out the laminator, I did have 24 hours of so-called waiting afterall...

Here she is, after the drying time, waiting to be recovered...

And the final result:

Not the best final result pictures, I took them in her entry way as I dropped it off with the hubs and three kiddos waiting impatiently in the car, but hopefully you get the idea!

  5. That is a night and day difference! I love the clean black and white (one of my favorite color pallets) and it came out looking so elegant. It has a great regency feel to it, in my opinion. Beautiful work. I envy your upholstery skills. ;)
