Bicycles, Mail, Queen and Stella & Dot

Yes, to me, all four of these somehow relate.

Today anyways...

But first, a word from our sponsor.....psych.....more like I literally could hear this song in my head when I went to check the mail.
So, I couldn't post the actual 'video' cause it was, uh..er...inappropriate. uh, yeah...

Go figure...

Anywho, this is how I check the mail almost everyday. Yup, you got it. In my car bicycle. I got it a few months back, and we have bonded over the drive back and forth to the mail box (ours is around the corner from the house), and the occasional trip to the park, it only has one gear, which is 'go', so you can imagine how much speed I can gain on this sledgehammer. And who knows when and if our mail will come everyday. Our mail chick drives a bad A oldsmobile. Yeah, go ahead and re-read that. A Buick Oldsmobile. And it gets better. I think almost every tire is a spare. She is not too fond of me, and I am not of her either. So it's a mutual relationship. But, I was actually giddy to check it today, I had a lil package. Yea me. (see below)

All of a sudden, I envisioned the PeeWee Herman movie when I saw this picture...

Totally digging the neighbors weeds and landscaping, awesome...

Tricky trickster right here...

Livin' on the edge, downright dangerous folks...

So I shouldn'y blog about my 'fashion' on this post, BUT I have to say how much I LOVE these shoes. I call them my old man shoes, but they are soooooo comfy....

Wednesday's Wearings, #12 & Stella & Dot

Howdy howdy howdy....time again for Wicked Wednesday's, psshhhh... Wednesday's Wearings. How has another week gone by? Who knows, I am just giddy it is getting cooler, finally.

Cooler weather means?? Yup, you guessed it.

Boots. I heart me some good, yummy boots.

Last week, when I took these lil pics, it had gotten into the 50's (we have still been in the 100's on some days), and it was quite lovely if I must say myself. Only to have it back in the 90's yesterday. Whatevs...

Anywho, decided to post what I wore on the heavenly day for

Giddy up, y'all...

Music Mondays, Foster The People

This weeks pick comes after a little bit of grooving out to them on Saturday nite at a shin dig.

It was a tad awesome, but no where close to the awesomeness of watching this uber awesomeness at ACL this year. But we will not go there, it does not bring happy feelings that we again, did not attend.

Touchy subject...

Anywho, I should carry on...carry on now...

Here is one of my favorites. Who doesn't like pumped up kicks? I know I do...it's how I roll, yo...

Houdini

This one makes me think of my nine year old, he moves like this when on the computer, music, etc...

Call It What You Want

And last, but certainly not least. It's definitely a huge favorite...

Stella & Dot

Well....I did it.

GULP

If you know me, then you know I will usually talk alot about it, all of the endless business ideas that roll through my head daily (it is on my checklist to do), but never actually pull through and actually do it.

Wednesday's Wearings, #11 & F21

Hola... You know that feeling, thank goodness its already Wednesday and it's only wednesday? Yup, I'm there. Glad the week is almost over, but only leading to a busier weekend, blah blah blah...

Think I am just in a blah blah blah mood...when the nine year old sleep walked, the four year old cried out alot, I can't fall asleep, and then the four year old is rubbing your arm, asking for breakfast at what you swear is 4 in the a.m., it tends to produce a blah blah blah mental status.

Whatevs....

Anywho, todays weekly series is pretty simple. Some have asked if I seriously dress up everyday like in the pictures. Pshhhhh, I wish....but I don't think this series, What Makes you be you, and Dress The Way That You Do, is about dressing up, and my pics are far from it. Like yesterday was a t-shirt, a scarf (t-shirt was a tad tight), jeans, TOM's, a stubby pony tail and big ol' sunglasses because my eye make-up decided to be uncooperative. Meant to take a picture, and totally forgot. So no, I have days that I am lucky if I get out of my workout clothes.
Step off of the first, itty bitty soap box, there is a bigger one coming up.

This weeks is something that is super comfy, which usually means that it is not attractive. Don't worry, it's not a velour track suit all gussied up or anything. I couldn't find my bedazzler, dernnnn....

Funny, I really like my RayBans, have had them for years, but now since my others are so much bigger, and I really, really like those, I feel a tad Terminator-ish in these...

The 12 year old and I were spouting off 'Napoleon' lines while doing this, so here is one of my Uncle Rico moves...

Look ma, I can rotate my hip out to a very awkward position... wth am I doing? All I remember is the 12 year old saying I don't smile enough, so there ya go...
(shirt/dress:F21, jeans:Celebrity Pink, shoes:Converse, glasses:Ray Ban P, headband:local boutique, watch:SLAP)

So now to pull up a larger crate, grab a megaphone and shout it out. I like Forever 21 (big inhale, then proceed to pass out).

yup, it's true. I may lose a few readers cause of this, but here goes...

I hear peeps all the time going off about how they can't stand it, it's too loud, crappy quality, horrible service, yadda yadda...

Come on people, get over it already. Yeah their stuff can be crappy, why? Cause it's cheap! Hello?? Like the little dress/shirt I am wearing (think it's supposed to be a dress, but my hiney was hanging out so I opted for the pants) was a whopping $11.
Yup eleven buckaroos.
So if it doesn't stay together for an eternity, I'm cool with that cause I didn't write a hot check for it, ya dig?
And God knows I hate paying a ton for trendy items, so this is a perfect fit, cause the guilt does not set in, like it has before, when the next year rolls around and that super duper top ain't so much anymore. But most of my stuff from there has withstood the test of time, meaning I usually get tired of it before it falls a part, hawwwwesomenessss....

Stick with me people, I am about to step down from this wobbly crate...

There are ways to go about it. Go in early if you can. Less of a crowd if any at all, sales people are for the most part a tiny bit happier (the rude ones are probably in school), music isn't quite as loud, so it makes it a ton easier to get around.

Yes it can be overwhelming finding things with SO much stuff, but come on now...with everything so cheap, I am sure you could compromise...

Put your earplugs in, take your Lexapro with an expresso shot and you'll be good to go.

Megaphone down, exit crate and scene....

A

Be sure and head over to Oak House 5 and see how well Kelly balances on her crate :)

Calling All Agents...Geek Squad Birthday Party 2011

Well, here it FINALLY is. I am only a few months behind...

A few...

This is my Nine year old's birthday party. He didn't have a party last year and didn't want a party this year, that is till we suggested having a 'Geek Squad Party', then it was all over. He was insanely excited.

You see, he is clearly OBSESSED with anything having to do with electronics, especially computers. He tends to have a slight seizure when we go to Best Buy... well not really, but you get the point.

I asked a sweet lady, who's daughter goes to school with us, about cookies and cupcakes, and something to combine his favorite of the Geek Squad and apps (his iPod has NOT left his side in almost two years, and he is constantly making apps). I am sure I drove her CRAZY with the constant changing of my mind, but I finally asked if she could make a tie for the topper of the cupcakes and app cookies.

They were FABULOUS!! Ashli from The Little Flower Bakery, you rock! I will be forever grateful that you delivered and stuck with me through all my brainstorming!!

Memoree Barrett Photography truly rocked with all of the awesome pictures. Between the three of us who brought our cameras to take pics, I took a total of 5, awesome, Kelly, from Oak House 5 took a bunch, and Memoree rocked it with her talent for photography and managing everyone in the photo-booth. I am grateful for her, who managed to bring all three kiddos and still snap bookoos of pics and also withstood all my brainstorming, you truly are a great friend!

After searching and searching for a venue, we ended up having it at our 35th Street investment property. It really worked out well, that is except for the heat. When I left, my car said 127. Now, I know that it's not accurate since it was sitting, but the house had to of been 95 or so and no breeze...NOT cool. The food melted, literally. Couldn't get the 'Happy Birthday Kolby' banner to stay because of the heat, so we resorted to 'Kolby', even that wouldn't stay, so pardon the crookedness of it...

The other thing that melts in insane heat? Mustaches...

I mustache you a question...

She looks so excited about what they are smiling about...

We don't need no stinkin' games...we are too cool...

Oh wait, Bryce changed his mind, he will go first.
Nod your head as many times in a minute (we changed it to 30 sec.) to see who is the highest on the pedometer...

Next game, see how fast you can empty the kleenex boxes AND put them back in...

Whoops, there's a baby in there somewhere...

And the last, was to make a tower on the 'big kids' forehead with dingdongs. But like everything else, they were also melted. So the wrapper stayed, but that doesn't mean the chocolate stayed in the package...

Group pics, these are my FAV! Look at everyone's faces, classic...

Did I mention how things melted?

And to my awesome partner in crime and blogger buddy, Kelly at Oak House 5, you truly rock my friend. Most of my day to day life lately (as you have held my hand), and definitely this party, would not have happened without you. Love you and biggest thanks!!
