Monday's Check-In

God...
How many times have I sat down to write this?
More than I can count on my long fingers and toes.

I have been wanting a way to track what I have done for the week
and help or inspire others to be motivated, all while being pretty blunt with myself.
Is that possible?
Curious?

I'm talking about being fit.
Having a healthy body image.
Wanting to be able to live as long as I can
knowing I did what I could,
besides the weekly package of starburst and x-large hot tamales
that can always be found in the drivers door of my car.

I got a tad scared last year when my allergy doc told me I needed to see a cardiologist.
My reply 'Uhh, I'm only 31'
Seems I was my rhythm was getting a bit off and making the ol' asthma feel like she needed to rule the world.

So I went in and basically had convinced myself
he would tell me that I had two cheese enchiladas stuffed into an artery somewhere.
He didn't find that much less any queso.
Actually told me it was stress and I needed to chill. Gave me a rx and I have been back a few times.

Here's the thing,
I don't want to be on heart meds for the rest of my life,
I am only 32 and considered myself to be fairly healthy.
I am a runner and had actually just finished a marathon a few months previous to this.

After a summer off and all the offspring back in school I have hit it up,
with small goals, mainly local 5 and 10ks
so it won't knock me back like the marathon did.

I am not so much concerned about losing weight, just want to tone.
I wanted to post weekly about what I have done
Eating
Exercise
Weight
Body Fat
BMI
Etc. Mainly for me. To be honest with myself. I can't go back and delete once I publish.
And for the offspring, I want them to grow up
not thinking about dieting and pounds
but to want to eat good and feel good
to have great energy
to not be sick and in bad health
to not think of themselves as being too fat or too skinny
Just healthy.

Thought I would start back by just running and decided a good,
short goal would be to catch a local 5k on September 23

So here is my schedule of what I have done since
school has started back for us (the last week in August)

Work out 5 days a week:
I am running 3-4 miles a day and working on running it in a faster time than before.
After the 5k, I am throwing back in cross training.
Current Dimensions (this made me laugh because I am used to thinking like this ;)):
height:5'4 and a friggin half, us short people need all the help we can get
weight:115
body fat %:14.5
bmi:19.6
Wrapping twice a week
Using Defining Gel twice a day
Take: New You, Thermofit, Confianza, Relief, Fat Fighters (if needed), & E2 daily.

Daily run down of munchies:
Wake up: Aim to drink once water bottle
Chug a cup of coffee on the way to school
Drink down another bottle of water with my energizer (aka crack) on the way to run
Lunch: Salad of some-sort
Snack: Another profit shake that I make for me and the offspring for after school
And supper is nutso.
We are in and out solid from 3 until 8 or 9 sometimes.
So I have been working on having supper in the crock pot ready and am working on that this week ;)

I am not a healthy eater like the hubs, I love my tea from starbucks and candy.
But am working on backing off from cokes.
I'll go a whole week without and then chug-a-lug on the weekends.
not.
doing.
any.
good.

But I can't give up on everything,
I will go c.r.a.z.y.
Just working on the small things like
giving my kids shakes (with kale and such sneaked in) instead fast food after school

There you have it. This is basically my workout diary wide open for your eyes.
Curious what everyones goals are and how you are working towards them, meals, workout routine, etc.

Feel free to email me at twothirtyfivedesigns@gmail.com for anything ;)

  1. WOW girl! Dedication LOVE it. It just takes one step every day to accomplish our goals! I am 32 too :) And even though I still have a way to go on my weightloss goals I have NEVER been happier, never been healthier!!

US short people do need all of the help we can. I would love an extra 2 inches to spread myself out!
