Thanks to everyone for always linking up! Big bloggity hug ;)
On with this weeks!!
Link up anything from what's on your Instagram to a full remodel!
1. Be a follower of my blog, because you rock, and linking back would totally rock out.
2. Link to your specific post of ANY type of photos (I'm not picky), not your main page of your blog. 3. Feel free to grab my button on the left hand side and post in anywhere on your blog.
4. We all know we love traffic and comments, so take a short, kind minute and visit a few. And spread the word, let's keep this thing going!
Seriously...cannot remember the last time that I wore a belt and it actually showed, let alone actually outside of my shirt. Loving being able to be half way comfortable in my tight tee after wrapping, yea!! Besides the fact I feel like a unripened banana, I am totally digging these pants...
I am beyond giddy about the Ultimate Body Applicators! I have only wrapped four times and lost over FOUR inches in my belly and my skin has begun to tighten and smooth out...uh, hello?!? Did you read that right? Go ahead and reread it, I'll wait
......
Yup, you read it right, over four inches. No lie. I wrap and sleep in it over night, wake up and continue through my workout and my day, drinking my water to help flush and within 72 hours it has done its job, whew.... crazy huh? They are only twentyfive buckaroos a wrap or $59 for a box of four, yup, that seriously will NOT break the bank ;) Since I became a distributor, I have not been able to keep these in, sold eight this weekend...major SCORE!!
When doubts filled my mind, You comfort game me renewed hope and cheer. (NLT)
As I sat here at 12:15 in the a.m. scrolling through my head on what to write, thinking of my friend that I lost so long ago and how I dream of her weekly, that we are just talking and realizing that I miss her so, my mind goes numb....not knowing on where to being this. Which is why I am probably publishing it while the moon is bright out...
This song came on Pandora and it sort of struck something in me
Romans 6:8-11
Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. (NIV)
I didn't do a post on Friday, need to apologize for not getting the linky party up (it's coming later today!)and Saturday. Life gets in the way and lately it has been more in the way than ever. Friday I always get in a funk. Not every Friday, just seems like Good Friday I do.
"We may say that on the first Good Friday afternoon was completed that great act by which light conquered darkness and goodness conquered sin. That is the wonder of our Saviour's crucifixion."
- Phillips Brooks
Seems like things seem to happen on Good Friday. In case you haven't noticed or I have failed to mention before, I am a numbers person. Numbers and cars person to be exact. I remember what everyone drives (weird, I know), but I can't remember their name and can't for the life of me explain the numbers. God knows I hate numbers, but dates, phone numbers and such stick in my head.
Getting back to Good Friday, we have lost people in our lives that have meant so much...is it weird that it has happened on this day? Makes ya think... We have both lost our best friends and a sibling. The hub's sister passed and the hub's lifelong best friend had a horrific accident on this day, years later, and went into a coma. He passed in August 2010. Watching the hubs and these events has been absolutely heartbreaking. Other odd things have happened that make you sit and think. That's usually how it goes, just thinking about all that has happened and where you are because of it and since it has happened. Debbie Downer, yeah I know...
When you are sorrowful, look again in your heart and you shall see that, in truth, you are weeping for that which has been your delight.
I know I am not focusing on what I should be on this day, do you get like this? The past year or so have been better, just kind of a bummer when you get some quite time. Anywho...
Ready to move on. Looking forward to heading to Easter service, hearing the message from our rockin' pastor and I love watching my kids delight in hunting eggs and hanging with the fam.
Matthew 28:5-7
5 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”
Today will be a good day, I can feel it ;) Hoping you and yours have a wonderful Easter.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead ...
Hope your Thursday is getting off to the right step...mine is already rocking thanks to Katie from Newcomb Home, who is guest posting for me today...holla. Be sure and check her out! And really, really quick ;), if you are on Facebook, would you mind doing me a favor? My Fish Scale Wall Art is up as a finalist on Consumer Crafts, would you mind 'liking' the photo? Hi there Two Thirty-Five Designs Readers! I’m Katie from Newcomb Home. I’m excited to be at Allison's site today to show off a few of my favorite projects.
I live with my husband and two furry roommates in Portland, Oregon. I blog about all things related to my house and our life renovating it – great tips for home improvement, beautiful (and cheap!) decorating ideas, and what to do when your water main starts flooding the garage :) On occasion I’ll even throw in my feeble attempts at cooking (if I can succeed no doubt you can too!).
I hope you’ll head over to Newcomb Home to check out some of these projects!
That's the husband and me, looking way too relaxed since we’re on vacation!
One of my favorite projects, and one I’m excited to share with you, is my DIY wall art. I’ve included a super easy tutorial that will help anyone make some fantastic art for their wall. All you need are some frames, scrapbook paper, acrylic paint, and a stencil.
The best part is that this entire project cost 70 bucks! Including the frames! Can’t beat that price. The second project I'd like to share is how 8 cans of spray paint updated my guest room. I’m really proud of this room, since I was able to update some old furniture so easily, and because the stripes on the wall turned out :)
And this before and after might look like a subtle change, but it made a huuuge difference in our newly tiled shower. AND we saved a ton of money because instead of buying spendy edge tile, we just had to buy one tube of caulk!
You can see the latest in our bathroom remodel here. We’re not quite done with all the finishing work, but its changed so much. Even though it was a ton of work, I’m so happy with our progress so far. We were able to reuse lots of materials and get a whole new bathroom without breaking the bank!
I hope you’ll head on over to Newcomb Home to check out all of our projects, recipes, and all the tomfoolery we get ourselves into fumbling our way through home renovation.
Thanks again Allison for the opportunity to introduce myself on your fabulous blog!
