As a bunch of bloggers already have
I had pretty much decided I wouldn't.
A 'Word" of the year.
I have never done this, but it has been looming over me like a
cartoon bubble over me for the past few days.
My first instinct keeps coming back to me
even after numerous words kept popping up.
Rebuild ~ 2013
Not 'Rebuild' a house after the fire.
Not 'Rebuild' our clothing after the fire.
Not 'Rebuild' our furniture after the fire.
Not 'Rebuild' our projects after the fire.
Not 'Rebuild' our toys after the fire.
But 'Rebuild' our lives, home and normalcy.
I think it's very fitting ;)
So as I watched other bloggers 'word of the year' pour in,
I saw a few who decided to embed it in their lives and this was a lightbulb moment for me.
And the thirteen year old....big score.
(hers, she picked 'Hope')
(and mine)
and it's in the beginning stages, but I thought what the heck...

I'm so sorry I thought 'after the fire' was a metaphor!!! OMG!! I'm so sorry!
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine what that's like! But I will say. I'm impressed, especially having the will power and the guts to actually Blog about it let alone take pictures during that night.
Sometimes we don't know why God allows certain things to happen in our lives, but I'm sure looking back you can actually see a glimpse of who you are,
A STRONG

Love the Bracelets! It seems your daughter Loves you very much especially matching you with a bracelet & rings.
God Bless, I hope you can accept my apologies.
Rebuild, that is such a suitable word for you this year. You are going to own that word, I just know it. Soon, you will have normalcy and probably a greater appreciation for it than the rest of us. I wish you the best!

I'm so sorry to read about your house, even though I stumbled on your blog just today, and I don't know you, it's just tragic. Your house was beautiful, I'm sure you will create a new home just as warm and cozy. I'm 1000% impressed that you are still blogging right now. Best to you as you rebuild this year.
